Celebrate 180 years of Rückl with us right at our glassworks in Nižbor. On Saturday, 19 September, Rückl Glassworks Day will bring crystal blowing and cutting, creative workshops, meetings with the people behind the glassworks, activities for children, and special offers at our factory store. You can even arrive in style – aboard a historic train from Prague or Slaný.

🍴 Nižbor Street Food Festival to Offer Flavors from Around the World and the Unique Atmosphere of the Rückl Glassworks. Saturday, July 18, 2026 will be filled with aromas, flavors, and experiences from different corners of the world. The grounds of the Rückl Glassworks in Nižbor will come alive with the Nižbor Street Food Festival, offering visitors not only a diverse selection of international street food, but also a music program, guided tours of the glassworks, and accompanying activities for the whole family.

From 27 July to 9 August 2026, our glassmakers will be swapping molten glass for warm sunshine and taking a well-deserved break after a year of dedicated craftsmanship. During this period, the glassworks will be closed due to the company-wide summer shutdown. We look forward to welcoming you back on Monday, 10 August.

The legendary Glass Cutting World Cup (GCWC) will take place from June 5–7, 2026 at the Rückl glassworks in Nižbor, Czech Republic, just 30 minutes from Prague. The event will bring together some of the world’s best glass cutters. But it’s not just about craftsmanship — visitors can also enjoy a rich program full of experiences and activities for everyone.

Celebrate May Day in an unconventional way – in the heat of a glass furnace, where true originals are created.

On Good Friday and Holy Saturday, we traditionally celebrate the arrival of spring at our glassworks. Come and try blowing a colorful Easter egg in our hot shop. Work with a cutter to engrave spring motifs on glasses made from limited-edition green crystal, and paint a crystal egg with our artist. Your children can decorate gingerbread cookies and weave a traditional willow whip in our creative workshop.

Crystal-clear, pink, and above all creative! That’s how you’ll experience Valentine’s Day at the Rückl glassworks. Come and create crystal hearts with us, engraving them with a personal message, or—with the help of our master glassmaker—even make your own crystal heart directly in the furnace. Express your love in a different way, with a gift crafted by your own hands.

Advent Saturdays at the Rückl Glassworks are perfect for relaxing moments spent among crystal masterpieces, creating unique Christmas ornaments and candle holders—whether as a keepsake or as a one-of-a-kind gift you’ve blown, engraved. Take a moment to pause and enjoy the pre-Christmas atmosphere with us.

For all creative enthusiasts, we have a unique opportunity on this day – to design your own Boo Boo glass and then craft it together with a master glassmaker in the workshop at a special price.
