Street Food Festival

Saturday, July 18, 2026, will be a celebration of aromas, flavors, and experiences from around the world. The grounds of our Rückl Glassworks in Nižbor will come alive with the Nižbor Street Food Festival, offering visitors not only a diverse culinary experience but also live music, guided glassworks tours, and activities for the whole family.

Food lovers can look forward to a wide variety of street food specialties inspired by different countries and cultures. The festival will feature popular Spanish churros, Latin American dishes, African cuisine specialties, Indonesian street food including the traditional treat dadar gulung, Arabic desserts, and traditional Wallachian frgál pastries. The menu will be complemented by rolled ice cream, fries, salted caramel treats, specialty coffee, and homemade lemonades.

Great food deserves great drinks. Visitors will be able to enjoy prosecco, fine wines, signature cocktails, and craft beers from selected breweries. A rich accompanying program will also be part of the festival experience.

The musical atmosphere will be provided by singer and musician Radomír Švec and the energetic Balkan brass band Love Song Orchestra.

Visitors will also have a unique opportunity to explore behind the scenes of the Rückl Glassworks through guided tours and experience traditional glassmaking crafts firsthand—from the work of a glass cutter to demonstrations at the glass furnace. The glassworks’ company store will also be open, where guests can purchase original Czech crystal at special prices.

Experience at the Glassworks:

Glassblowing Experience (No Product Included)

Blow into molten glass under the guidance of an experienced master glassmaker and create a decorative glass bubble for demonstration purposes. The experience lasts approximately 8 minutes at the workbench.

Glass or Vase Glassblowing Experience

1 450 Kč

The glass or vase must undergo industrial cooling (annealing), so it will be available for collection at our store from the following Monday. Alternatively, we can ship it to your address within the Czech Republic for an additional fee of CZK 100.

Beer Mug Glassblowing Experience

The hands-on experiences can be purchased separately. While we recommend joining the guided tour, participation is not required.
