Experience the Christmas spirit at the glassworks!

Join us in kicking off the Advent season by creating beautiful gifts and lighting the Christmas tree in Nižbor.

Program

From 10 AM to 5 PM, the glassworks will offer guided tours, special Christmas ornament glassblowing experiences at discounted prices in the hot shop, and engraving Christmas or other designs onto candle holders, glasses, bowls, or beer mugs in the engraving workshop. This day will also see the debut of a new active experience, namely painting Christmas candle holders. Our artistic painter Romana will be creating them with you.

Your handcrafted creations will serve as a reminder of the wonderful time spent at the glassworks with your loved ones, or they can be given as unique Christmas gifts. Throughout the day, Christmas mascots will be present to give small gifts to children.

At 6:00 PM, we will light the Christmas tree together, and at 6:15 PM, we will sing carols with local schoolchildren.

Take advantage of special offers in our company store and surprise your loved ones with a crystal gift from a glassworks that has been with you for over 120 years.

Warm and cold refreshments, local beer, mulled wine, children’s punch, and trdelník will be available—everything you need for a festive Christmas experience.

We recommend purchasing tickets for the tours and hands-on activities (glassblowing and engraving) in advance, as availability on the day cannot be guaranteed due to capacity limits.

Entry to the outdoor area for the tree lighting is free. Admission to the glassworks for tours and experiences is charged.

Glass-blowing experience:

Blowing a Christmas ornament

800 CZK

The price includes a ticket for the “Blowing a Christmas Ornament” experience, 1 piece. The experience lasts approximately 8 minutes per person. The blown ornaments are cooled until the next business day. Starting from December 2nd, they can be picked up in our store, at designated pick-up points in Prague from December 3rd, or we can ship them to your address within the Czech Republic for an additional fee of 100 CZK per piece. 

Glass-cutting experience:

Cutting Christmas candle holders

500 CZK

The price includes a ticket for the “Engraving Christmas Candle Holders” experience, 1 piece. The experience lasts approximately 8 minutes per person. On-site, you can choose between a candle holder, glass, or bowl. Under the guidance of a master cutter, you will cut a design onto your chosen item and take your unique creation home as a keepsake or a Christmas gift.

Glass-painting experience:

Painting on a Christmas candle holder

The price includes a ticket for the “Painting Christmas Candle Holders” experience, 1 piece. The experience lasts 30 minutes per person, with approximately 10 minutes of instruction from a professional artist and 20 minutes for your own creative work. The applied paint requires industrial “baking.” Therefore, the finished items will be available for pick-up in our store from December 2nd, at designated pick-up points in Prague from December 3rd, or we can ship them to your address within the Czech Republic for an additional fee of 100 CZK per piece.

You can pick up your own product from the next working day during the opening hours of the glassworks. Blowing is free of charge for picking up in person at the glassworks, for an additional 100 CZK only shipping to your address.
